Text - bulbaquil • 4h I usually have to commute 38 miles to work one way, most of that on toll roads. While I can WFH 2 days a week under normal circumstances, that's still 228 road miles, 8 gallons of gas, upwards of 6 stressful hours on the road, and something like $50 of tolls per week. Also, the birds outside seem to be happier.

Text - the-magnificunt • 4h We started the quarantine staying at an out of the way beach cabin with my in-laws and decided to stay an extra week because the people coming the week after us cancelled. I work remotely so I've still been able to work while they do childcare during the day and we all have dinner together in this isolated place. It's quiet and pretty and relaxing. (But we have to go back home this weekend.)

Text - MidnightRobichaux • 6h Honestly, staying at home and avoiding people is business as usual for me & my best friend. We're both introverts and get our socializing done at work. So I guess the silver lining for us is that we don't feel like we're missing out on anything.

Text - paleoarty • 6h Took advantage of the fact that I won't be in school for a few months and told my crush how I feel, as if it went badly I wouldn't have to see him for a long time and it would blow over. It didn't go badly, we're still friends and I'm honestly glad I did it because now I can make progress towards getting over him. Couldn't have done it without good ol' coronavirus messing up the world.

Text - PaperbackBuddha • 6h I'm appreciating the fact that the very wealthy can't just ride this out like usual. Every single person on earth is affected by this, them included. The silver lining is that maybe some of them will start to see things a little differently.

Text - PeitriciaMae • 6h Several friend/family groups have broken through the discomfort/tech barriers of video chat and l'm talking to friends way more than this work from home introvert usually does! I had virtual book club last night and chatted with friends in another country. My daughter did crafts over Zoom with my friend's little kids so she could take a break from it all. Ironically, I feel more connected than ever.

Text - DemonLinus • 5h I have been practicing guitar and listening to music the entire day, but if i have to choose one thing it is guitar.
  • 25
Text - Trying_at_it • 4h I have two teenagers and life pre-March 2020 was feeling a little out of control, like we were speeding to the end of parenthood at a million miles an hour. Most of my life lately has been driving everyone everywhere and the lack of quality time was starting to feel like a real loss. So having this pause has been really nice, to spend time playing card games, watching old favorite movies, etc. Watching them trying to find the positive when they're facing significant teen

  • 29
Text - Mirrorlogy • 6h I genuinely don't feel as lonely anymore. Since most people aren't hanging out anyway, So I don't feel left out. But I do hate it since most of my activities require me to go out at least 3 times a week. And without them, I'm left with nothingness at home.

  • 31
Text - Stabfacenotback • 6h When I do get to see friends, we have a serious conversation about possible exposure. There are no cases of COVID-19 in our county. We gather at someone's house, just three or four of us. It has been a lot more intimate (not sexually) with conversation and getting to know one another. We even sit a meter apart like we're told to. It's cool to connect with good friends this way. Like we're all in it together. It supports our bond and makes it stronger.

Text - Notmiefault • 7h The folk over at O r/collegebasketball are in top form. Rather than mope about the cancellation of March Madness, they've decided to simulate the entire tournament in a videogame. Of course, the last licensed college basketball videogame was College Hoops 2008, so they've added the 2020 rosters to that 12-year-old game and are running the tournament there. The entire subreddit is discussing and commenting on it as though it were the real thing, with play highlights, brack
